    The two met after exams when Orochimaru was attending the music festival,and got to hear Rens beautiful voice. They then fell in love and when Orochimaru became Anbu they married after his 2nd mission. A few years later there 1st and and only child was born.

    But trouble soon ocurred and Orochimaru after a fight with his wife, left the family for good. He's daughter Orohime got to see him one more time while Ren was alive.

    Orochimaru murdered his wife and when his daughter returned he, tried to burn her with the house. Then he simply left and didn't return until many years later when he needed a new vessel to continue enteral life and his daughter joined him in hopes of getting close enougHh to one day destroy him for good.
